buildOn

Welcome to buildOn! We are an international nonprofit dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty, illiteracy and low expectations through service and education. We are committed to expanding educational opportunities and promoting gender equality for people around the world. Every year our club fundraises $30,000 to build a school in a rural community in one of the countries buildOn works with (Burkina Faso, Guatemala, Haiti, Malawi, Mali, Nepal, Nicaragua, Senegal) and have the opportunity to go on "trek" over the summer to construct the school side-by-side with the community. We also tackle issues facing our local community by volunteering at food banks, beach cleanups, Glide, clothes drives and more. Members can gain service hours, leadership opportunities, and build lasting connections! Our meetings are biweekly on Monday in room 255 at 3:50, and everybody is welcome! (P.S. We have great snacks!) ​
